Welcome to Ozark Mountain Mule and Donkey Days!

On Labor Day Weekend 2008 over 500 Mules and 100 miniature donkeys will converge on the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds to compete in over 60 events at the Ozark Mountain Mule & Donkey Days Celebration. There is no way to actually describe this celebration. It is part mule and donkey show, part test of skills and part Wild West show.

Showcased in the Main Arena of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri, Ozark Mountain Mule & Donkey Days is a world class fun event. Crowds anticipated are over 7,000 mule and donkey fans (up from over 5,000 in 2007)!

A new highlight of this year's celebration will be a 140+ mile Wagon Train starting in St. James, Missouri and continuing down the I44 corridor frontage roads to Springfield and the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. All equines are invited to participate, including horses, donkeys and mules.

Thursday will offer an all day Tack and Equipment auction, followed by a Friday Select Mule Auction. Friday night features old time music and Wild West Show. Saturday night will also have a fun Wild West show featuring mules/donkeys and skills galore.

Indoor booth space will be provided for nearly 100 vendors with everything from tack to arts and crafts, t-shirts, to wall decor and furniture. Vendors will operate all three days at the Annex, which adjoins the Main Arena. This will all take place in the heart of Ozark Mountain Country at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds' spacious arena, which will accommodate over 2,500 spectators.

Admission: $8 Adult, $5 Senior, $3 Child (Under 6 free).
