Volunteers
It takes volunteers from all walks of life to make Ozark Mountain Mule & Donkey Days a huge success. This event is a project of THE FOUNDATION, Council of Churches of the Ozarks and the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation, non-profit corporations. Proceeds will go back to the community through one of the many programs and projects of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks and the Ozark Empire Fair Foundation.
One way this is accomplished is by involving local organizations and service groups to help put on a part of Ozark Mountain Mule & Donkey Days. For example, the Arc of the Ozarks (support for the Mentally Retarded and Developmentally Disabled) cleans the restrooms/grounds; and the Missouri National Guard is there to help with traffic and logistics and Good Samaritan Boys Ranch helps with the Wagon Train. These individuals take time to mold the event into a truly community driven, first class, event.
